Cooking Directions: To Boil: Remove boil-in-bag pouch from box. Do not open or cut pouch. Boil 2 quarts of water. Place unopened pouch into boiling water and reduce heat immediately to simmer. Simmer for 14 minutes. Drain water. Pouch and contents will be very hot - cut pouch and carefully remove contents. Serve promptly. Note: Do not allow water to boil vigorously during cooking or pouch may open. To Microwave: Remove boil-in-bag pouch from box. Place onto a microwave safe dish. Make a few small cuts in the top of the pouch to allow the steam to vent during cooking. Cook on defrost setting for 4 minutes and then on high for an additional 2 to 2-1/2 minutes. Pouch and contents will be very hot - carefully remove contents from the pouch. Serve promptly. Discard boil-in-bag pouch after heating - Do not store any cooked unused portion in pouch. Serving Suggestion: Add a cup of your favorite steamed or sautéed vegetables to the cooked bowties and kasha. Mix well. Cook until a minimum internal temperature of 150 degrees F is reached. Serve heated. Important: Keep frozen until ready to use. Do not refreeze.
