Famous Natchitoches Louisiana Meat Pie Company has been making Meat Pies (same as Empanadas) for over 30 years. Meat Pies have been a traditional favorite in Louisiana since the 1700's, and as the word spreads of how delicious and convenient they are, we keep making more and more to try to satisfy a constantly growing demand. We offer them in wonderful flavors including the Original (beef & pork blend) and the Crawfish, which are terrific baked or deep-fried. The two sizes of empanadas available are a 4 ounce entree size and a 1.25 ounce appetizer size.

Directions
Cooking Instructions: Deep Frying: Preheat oil to 375 degrees. Fry pies from frozen state for 8 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper. Conventional Oven: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Brush pies with melted margarine or butter. Bake on a non-stick cookie sheet for 25 minutes until golden brown and center is heated. Cooking Note: Cook until internal temperature reaches equal to or greater than 165 degrees F. Always prepare from frozen state. Product not recommended for microwavable use. Product must be fully cooked.
