Directions
Cooking: For best results fry: you can also microwave. To Fry: Heat 1-1.5 inches vegetable oil in a frying pan. (To test oil is hot enough add a small piece of papadum. If it fries immediately, oil is the correct temperature.) Cook individually. Fry each for 2-3 seconds. It will expand quickly. Remove from oil with tongs and drain on absorbent paper. Note: Never leave hot oil unattended. To Microwave (1200 W): Lightly brush both sides of the papadum with vegetable oil, place the papadum in the microwave and cover with kitchen paper before cooking on full power for 45 seconds or until expanded. (The papadum may require turning to ensure even cooking). Do not exceed prescribed cooking time. Serving Suggestions: Serve papadums immediately with a main meal, as an accompaniment, or as a snack. Once opened store the uncooked papadums in a sealed container in cool dry conditions.
