Cabernet Sauvignon, 2016
Red Hills Lake County: Obsidian, glassy black rock of volcanic origin, covers the steep slopes of Obsidian Ridge Vineyard. At 2,640 feet, our vineyard rises amid the Red Hills of Lake County, a mountainous region in the North Coast of California with incomparable red soils and an altitude-moderated climate. Our vineyards is one of the highest is the famous Mayacamas Range, and the result is a bold, structured mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. Illus - James Hutchinson. Alc. 14.5% by vol. Cellared & bottled by Obsidian Wine Co., Napa, CA.
Tasting Notes | This is black and juicy enough to fully saturate its mineral tannins. It’s a clean wine with a firm architecture to the structure and touches of greenness in the tannins that will develop with time. |
