Stove Top: 1. Bring water (or milk) and salt to boil. Stir in oats. 2. Reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring regularly. 3. Remove from heat and let stand for 1 minute before serving. Microwave: 1. Add 3/4 cup of boiling water to 1/4 cup Quick Cook Steel Cuts Oats in a deep microwave-safe dish (leaving room for the oats to expand during cooking). 2. Cook on high for 3 minutes, stir and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. 3. Remove from microwave and allow to stand for 1 minute before serving.
