Natural flavor. Non-GMO. Sustained energy. Clif Bar is named after my father, Clifford, my childhood hero and companion throughout the Sierra Nevada Mountain range. In 1990, I lived in a garage with my dog, climbing gear, bikes, and two trumpets. One day, during a 175-mile bike ride with my buddy Jay, I couldn't stomach another bite of the energy bars we'd brought. I knew I could do better. Six months later, after countless hours in my mom's kitchen, Clif Bar became a reality. The spirit of adventure that inspired the birth of Clif Bar lives on to this day, and we continue doing our best to take care of our people, our community, and the planet.
