Roasted Asparagus Spears with Slivered Garlic

This recipe is a fantastic side for just about any main dish, and it’s easy to double or even quadruple to feed a crowd.

- 24 asparagus spears (end trimmed (about 1 large bunch))
- 1/2 whole garlic bulb
- 2 tsp O Organics® extra virgin olive oil
- 1/8 tsp dried basil or Herbes de Provence
- 1/8 tsp coarse salt (optional)
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
Preheat oven to 425°. Spread the asparagus in a 13” x 9” baking dish. Remove the skin from garlic and cut each clove lengthwise into slivers (3 or 4 per clove).
Drizzle the oil over the asparagus. Add the garlic slivers, basil, salt (if desired), and pepper, tossing to combine.
Place the dish in the center of the oven and roast the asparagus for 10 to 12 minutes, or until just tender, tossing after 5 minutes to ensure even baking.
