The legendary flavor of O.T.'s Hickory Smoked Barbecue Sauce lives on! Thanks to O.T.'s new owner Bob Brooks, that is. You see, when the company's founder-Bay Area's barbecue powerhouse, Douglas Otis Lawson-passed on, he left the business to his family. They then sought out a CEO who could be trusted to uphold O.T.'s famous recipe for success: Integrity. The answer to their prayers came from a local story.

It told about an entrepreneur who found $33,000 in small bills throughout the house he'd purchased from an elderly widow and how this Mr. Brooks returned every dime. So today, as always, customers who love O.T.'s gourmet sauce can count on finding it at their neighborhood Safeway. What's more, it's an opportunity for Safeway to support two true local legends.
