We collect the information that we need to determine service availability, to fulfill your order, or to contact you if there's a problem. We only ask for your contact information to create your account. Credit card information is not needed until you are ready to check out.

You'll then need to provide your name, address, contact telephone number and a password, but you don't have to enter your credit card details at this stage. During registration, you can also view the full terms and conditions of our online shopping service.
You will need a Safeway Club Card to shop at Safeway.com, but don't worry if you don't have one, because a Club Card number will automatically be given to you when you register. This virtual Club Card number will enable you to shop and take advantage of great online Club Card specials. Note that online and in-store prices, discounts and offers, including Club Card pricing, may differ and may change between the date of order and date of scheduled delivery. If you already have a Safeway Club Card, you can enter it during registration. You can see the items that you have purchased using your Club Card, whether in-store or online, in your Shop By History.
