How do I schedule a delivery
Deliveries are made during two shifts, seven days a week (in select areas). Deliveries for each day are available in 1-Hour, 2-Hour, or 4-Hour windows, which you can select when placing your order. Delivery times are based on availability and are reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Delivery times can be selected by clicking on the "Schedule delivery for your order" link on top of the shopping page or when going through the checkout process.
What times during the day do you offer delivery service
Deliveries are made between 10:00 am and 9:00 pm seven days a week (times vary by store). All Safeway holidays are observed, and no deliveries are made on a Safeway holiday.
By when should I place my order to schedule same day delivery
Orders for same day delivery must be placed prior to 8:30 am for delivery between 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm, or before 3:00 am for delivery between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. (Note: Lake Powell orders must be completed 3 days prior to your arrival date.) Delivery windows are based on availability. Reserve a delivery window for up to two hours by clicking the Schedule delivery for your order link at the top of the page. To permanently reserve your delivery window, complete the Checkout process.
Can I reschedule a delivery after I have checked out
You can change your scheduled delivery time before 8:30 am for deliveries between 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm, or before 3:30 am for deliveries between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. Click on Order History at the top of any page, and locate the order. Click on Change Delivery Time and then select a convenient new time. Note: The Web site requires approximately 5 to 10 minutes in order to update the information permanently. Requests to change a delivery time after the cut off time on the day of delivery will require you to cancel and re-order your delivery.
Can I have deliveries go to different addresses
You can have only one delivery address per account. If you would like to have your order delivered to a different address, you can create a new account or change your current address in My Account before placing an item in your cart. Please note: To create a new account, you will need to use a different e-mail address and Club Card. All address changes need to be made prior to placing an item in your cart. You may want to place an order for someone else. To do so, create a separate account with that person's delivery address. Then, pay using your own credit card.
If I am not home, will you leave the items on my doorstep
We do not leave deliveries unattended, so please arrange for someone over the age of 18 to be present at the time of delivery. If no one is home at the time of delivery, the driver will leave a door tag and return your items to the store for a full refund. If your order contains alcohol, someone over the age of 21 must be present to accept delivery. If your order contains tobacco, someone over the age of 18 must be present to accept delivery. No exceptions are possible.
Do your drivers accept tips
Tipping is not necessary, and our drivers do not accept tips. Our goal is to give you high-quality service at the lowest possible price.
